Dear colleagues,

We are recruiting a candidate for a fully funded 3-year PhD project to study translation initiation in mitochondria of the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

 *   Expected start date: September 2026

This position is offered through the IMCBio PhD program, which involves a three-stage selection process:

 1.  Online presentation of the candidate’s background and motivation
 2.  A second online interview with shortlisted finalists
 3.  An on-site presentation in Strasbourg (with travel expenses covered)

At IBMP, you will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art tools and expert training in genetics, biochemistry, structural biology, and high-throughput approaches. Strasbourg, ranked the best student city in France (2022), offers an excellent quality of life, a vibrant cultural scene, and easy connections to major European cities.
